Mae Mae

Cafe Mae Mae is a nice hidden treasure in the Holland tunnel region of lower Manhattan. The defining landmark is the tie-dyed llama sitting outside on an otherwise barren streetscape. Inside you'll find a warm wine bar with Wednesday night tunes, including Andy and the Song Camp.

Timing is Everything

When shooting buildings, it's assumed that the subject is stationary (as opposed to when shooting people). However, for the second time within a year, a flying object strategically found its way into one of my photos of the Bloomberg Building at 731 Lex.

Bird's Eye View

It took me a bunch of pleading with the building super across the street, but I finally got to the roof, approximately 250 feet up, looking down on the excavation in progress at the site of the future Lucida. The final pit would be more than 50' below grade, and directly adjacent to the 4/5/6 subway tunnel directly to the west.

Europe '06

Upon graduating from Lehigh, but before moving to New York, I took a trip to Spain, Paris and Italy with Genel. The cities we visited were:
